Two Loops Short

... of six potholders = five potholders.

Nevertheless, we love the colors in this refill set of craft loops, available at Walmart for ~$5.

Note: The synthetic loops work up much smaller and thinner than the cotton loops from Harrisville Designs. (Both potholders in the image have 36 loops each, and were woven on the same loom. Left: cotton; right: synthetic).

By the way, the pattern for these two potholders is "Weave II" in Harrisville Design's Potholder Wizard.

Improvised Table

Cantilevered glass tabletop for an impromptu breakfast nook.

• 24" round glass tabletop
• 29" wood saddle-back barstool
• 2 8" C-clamps (I've since replaced the C-clamps with these bar clamps.)
• black rubber shelf liner
• 2 furniture slides as clamp pads

This improvisation is working so well as a desk-height table next to a platform bed, that I'm thinking of it as a "sketch of a prototype".

Ray Gun

Exercise 2

{Visualize the image above on the front of a black t-shirt. Metallic threads shoot frenetically from the muzzle, wrapping around the torso's left side. At the end of each thread's stitched line are:

1. Six worry-dolls, color-matched to thread 'rays', are sewn in a line down the shirt's spine, each at the end of a particle's path.
   
2. 15 LED-lit dragonflies, attached evenly around the shirt. The metallic threads are stitched in labyrinthian lines.
   
3. Anodized aluminum milagros are sewn vertically down the left side of the image.
