Mario es de Delicias Chihuahua Mexico.

Mario has returned, February 25, to cut down an overgrowth of blooming London Rocket (Sisymbrium irio) [image right], a weed related to Sahara Mustard (Brassica tournefortii).

A small plant from the yard. Now that I've done some research, I wish I'd harvested the crop before it was taken. Removing the cut-down plants strip the soil of the nutrients it had processed. At the very least, I should have composted the cut plant material. But better than compost, London rocket is edible and medicinal. Its seeds are used for oil in India. Bedouins smoke the leaves, rather than tobacco, and for good reason: it's a treatment for asthma and rheumatism. Imagine.
